Well I've managed to get the Red Tribe robots all painted and have spent the day working on an assortment of different odds and ends to get the Black Tribe robots ready.
Scrapbot 42 joins the Expedition
The addition of Scrapbot 42 with his rather fine goggles completes the Red Tribe for the time being. I have actually just finished another pair of Reds who will give me some much needed close combat skills but I want to crack on with the Black Tribe for the moment so I can play some games using the little guys!
Reds hanging out at the Lone Star
I'm also building a test piece of terrain for my robots to fight over and once it's all done, I'll post some pics up of it but as I'm not sure if it's going to work out I'll hold off doing a terrain tutorial till it's done!
Next up, here's a larger Black Tribe specialist, the Brute:
Brute Bot
He's another old sculpt who was originally armed with a multi blaster and chainsaw and was going to be a Bully sculpt but is really too big so I've repurposed him with new arms and a few added details to bring him up to spec.
Looking at my Rusty Robots collection, I currently have eight of each the Reds and the Blacks so I think once I've got the Blacks painted up, I'll get on with the Blues who have spent far too much time reading old pirate adventures and have adopted a decidedly nautical theme in consequence!
In the meantime, All the best!
A great model! Happy to hear you already have your next robot project planned and rearing to go.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that the more I've sculpted of late, the more new ideas I have for further projects!
DeleteSculpting is art. And art is the fastest spreading virus human mind can get. Be warned.
