Planet 28 Final Edition Kickstarter

 Hi!

Apologies for the lack of updates but a mixture of work and heading down south to deepest Wales for my sister in laws wedding has resulted in a decided lack of hobby time.

While I was away, I spotted that Nick Evans, the creator of my favourite ruleset, Planet 28 has a new kickstarter going for the ultimate final edition of the game!

As a massive fan of the rulesets he's produced, I've backed the project and highly recommend the game itself to as its such a joy to play, simple enough to learn quickly but with enough to give it a good tactical feel and its a great sandbox to create pretty much anything you'd like to play too!

The project has already funded and smashed all its stretch goals too and there's even an STL for the cover character now available to boot:

I can't wait to get my hands on the new set to complete my collection and if you're interested in backing the project, Here's the LINK to the Kickstarter page.

In the meantime, All the best!

  1. I backed the 2nd edition. Such a nice little production and the quality of the rulebook is top notch. Don't think I need a second copy though so I'll hold off on the "ultimate" version.
Shame that fig is an stl.... Would love to paint her up, but no printer.

    1. Worry not! I believe this edition is just a revised one of the last edition in paperback. There is a lot of supplements that Nick has released with it too though so worth taking a peek!

I'd love to see physical copies of the figure too and if possible physical sculpts for more of Nicks art as its so characterful.

At this point I'm turning into a bit of a completionist fanatic for Mammoth Miniatures rules as they've all been so much fun!

  2. Thanx for the tip!
A while back we were looking for fresh ruleset for basement gaming - might give a try to Planet 28 😁

    1. Its a great wee game and works very well for small scale skirmishes with Inquisitor style vibes.

Its also easily convertable and has options for using D10 or D100 for an extra level of crunch and retro fun!
