Lockdown 2.0 Project Log Day 66: Lesser Greenskins

 Hi!

Todays update covers some lesser greenskin menaces for my Goff warband:

I've got a Mekboy Snotling assistant, another Gretchin Autogunner and a rather backwards sort of Gretchin with an old sword.

First up, the Snotling assistant:

He's originally a 15mm Goblin from Ral Partha Europe's Demonworld range and I'm thinking of adding a few multi bases to represent a Snotling swarm for when I get myself a Shokk Attack Gun!

Next up, the there's the swords wielding Grot:

I've had the guy for ages and he was originally painted brown to fit in with my Leviathan project but figure that it would suit my Ork mob better.

Finally, the third Gretchin autogun:

Again, nothing special about him but I do enjoy painting up the little guys and have rummaged out a few more to work on over the coming weeks.

In other news, I got my Ral Partha Europe order in today and will post a bit of a review in the next day or so and I've also got some more bits and bobs that I'm painting at the moment which I'm hoping to finish up in the course of this afternoon and will showcase them tomorrow.

Having painted up these bits and bobs, I'm champing at the bit to paint some more Orks but will need to get my Blood Angels finished first so I can finish off the mini campaign with a bit of a bang this weekend!

In the meantime, All the best!

  1. More green to give me envy of not having any ork's painted!!! The Nob the other day was very impressive as well. I REALLY like the model of the grot with a sword! He's got a lot of character!

    Keep up the great work!

    1. Thanks!

I've really enjoyed painting them up over the last week or two. I think the grot with the sword is an old Citadel miniature but I've had him for absolutely ages and am not even sure where I got him from now!

I've taken a bit of a break from all the green to paint a couple of random figures including a War Hippo which I'll post some pictures of tomorrow!

  2. Is that an old plastic autogun gretchin? I had no idea those models could look so good!

    1. It is indeed!

They're surprisingly paintable! After getting them done, I may pick up some of the old 4th edition Fantasy and 2nd edition mono pose plastics for some more retro fun!
