Lockdown 2.0 Project Log Day 43: Wolfbane!

 Hi!

I just finished the only surviving member of my old Warzone collection which is a real shame as I really enjoyed painting him!

Geralt the Wolfbane

As I mentioned in the introduction, I really enjoyed painting him as the sculpt is a total classic with bold details and a cool savage clansman sort of vibe which was really forgiving to paint. I picked him up back in the mid 90's from Macs Models in Edinburgh and was originally painted rather poorly by myself. Over the ensuing years, I lost or sold off the rest of them but I still had this guy who I stripped and repainted.

I used the original artwork as inspiration but toned down the red and blue gloves and didn't feel brave enough to add the warpaint but I may go back and add it in at some point.

I plan on using him as one of my Inquisitors retinue and called him Geralt as he bears a passing resemblance to the Witcher...

I'm really looking forward to the Wolfbane Commandoes making a comeback in Warzone Eternal as they were great fun back in the day and add a bit of barbaric splendour to any Imperial Megacorporate force.

My next paint project is so see if I can make a go of the old metal Necron figure and paint him up to represent a Pharon underling and am playing around with which paint scene to go for but am thinking bone white but I'll need to see how it turns out.

Hopefully tomorrow will see a bit of a ponder on bringing together a fantasy force so till then, All the best!
