Hi!
I've got quite a lot going on with work at the moment, especially with the arrival of the summer hols and the host of events we've got coming up but have managed to get some more hobby bits and bobs finished!
First up, here's an Imperial assault lander:
Its a bit 2d but thats kind of how I work and I really enjoyed working on it! The ship is pen and ink with art markers while the background is acrylic paint. I'm hoping to get more artwork put together so I can make a proper guide to Farpoint.
Speaking of which, here's an updated map of the Farpoint Sector:
As the Hathor Campaign continues, I will be adding to it with new locations and artwork to start fleshing it out so watch this space!
Tomorrow will hopefully see me getting the pictures taken of the assorted figures and scenery that I've got finished but until then, All the best!
Always enjoy a good map.
ReplyDeleteYou cant beat a map!
DeleteI saw your lander on Instagram....very cool. Are the yellow lines on the map stable warp connections?
ReplyDeleteHi!
DeleteThe yellow lines are stable connections between systems. In my own version of the Imperium, there are mighty structures called Tannhauser Gates which allow ships to travel safely through the warp in a network that spans the Imperium. Vessels can still enter the Warp without them but its a risky business and as the Tannhauser Gates are expensive to construct, they tend to be limited to the more populous, wealthy, commercially or militarily import systems.
I'll be posting more up about the background in the next few days which will hopefully explain things a bit better!
I'm a declared fan of your art, so I'm drooling all over!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks!
DeleteI've not had much chance to draw anything of late so it was nice to rummage out my pens for a change!
Love that lander! Need to catch up on the campaign just as soon as I finish a few projects.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks! The campaign is developing a bit of a life of its own at the moment and following the massive fight on the second level of the prison on Bore IV, Fisher and co will be delving into the deepest level of the facility containing solitary confinement and the engineering rooms which will hopefully reveal what has caused the uprising!
DeleteExcellent art. That lander is awesome!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks! I really need to get more stuff drawn up for the setting!
