I've spent much of today working on sculpts for my Blue Tribe robots whilst listening to Death From Above Wargaming's Battletech battle reports.
I must admit that I've tried out Battletech once or twice but never really got into it as it always seemed to be quite a slow moving but there's something rather appealing about giant stompy robots beating each other up!
I may have to rummage out my old set if I can find it and have a bash using tokens rather than the surprisingly expensive miniatures.
There's so much background fluff to delve into with the game and I'd be interested to hear other folks opinions of it. I'm not too sure I would be bothered with the more modern stuff but the Succession Wars era are rather more fun with tech levels that have deteriorated and humanity has become a bit backward, despite toting mighty machines of destruction.
We shall see what I can come up with but if nothing else, I've had some good stuff to listen to whilst I've been sculpting.
If anyone can suggest some more good wargaming podcasts or Youtube channels, I'd love to hear your suggestions but in the meantime, All the best!
